This was my first purchase as a budding watch collector. I loved the look of it, and that was enough. Since that first purchase, I’ve bought several more watches. Most, more expensive than this Fossil. A few, less. Of all the watches I’ve purchased, this is among the best looking. It’s also the only one I’ve never worn more than once. And I don’t completely fault the watch for this.
Through a combination of the watch hands blending in with the face (especially in less than perfect lighting), and 56 year old eyes, it can be nearly impossible to read the time at a quick glance. Because of the nature of my job, this is a deal breaker. And the only reason I’ve only worn it once.
The watch functions perfectly and wears well. It feels substantial without being heavy. The strap is thick and a bit stiff, although it would probably loosen with a bit of wrist time.
Unfortunately, this won’t happen in my possession.
